My research over the past few hours had yielded many clues and provided me with much information on the inner workings of
CYAN. My visit to RAWA´s office was informative and revealing. The rock and the many papers spread out on the desk only intensified my desire to learn more.I was given the opportunity to continue my trek around the
building. It was important that I follow up on some of the previous clues and hints that had been sent my way. Another trip to the basement was in order.
I
headed downstairs and rounded the corner in the artists area when I met Rand and a few of the artists meeting to discuss
"components" of the new project. Rand was showing the artists various diagrams from a series of books. I wandered by and sat down, waiting to speak to Rand once his meeting was complete. It
was then I noticed Rand smiling at me. The book he was reading from was the one I had spyed on the coffee table upstairs before it was removed from my view. Rand finished up and laid the book
down. "Are you sure you want to look at this?" commented Rand. I was speechless and simply nodded. I wandered over and turned the book over. The title of the book now made sense. I had had
only seen part of the word or title. I had seen "chugui" or "echg". The title of the book was in fact......"Lechuguilla: Jewel of The Underground". "So you have finally discovered
the mystery of the word Behlehtsahrah" Rand commented. "It is best you keep the contents of the book to yourself". I nodded, with little to say. I would research this word and dig up what I could on my own time.
(My research that evening, back at my hotel room, yielded a great deal information. I didn´t have much to go on but what I did find online surprised me and excited me.)
Like most fans, I had to ask...what made this plant so special? What was the significance of this plant? What properties
did it hold? My mind was racing.
I decided to wander around some more and sat down at one of the computer terminals. I had asked Rand to be sure and show the new artists our website (RivenGuild.com)
and demo it for us! He had spent about 20 min´s there before leaving. I sat down and proceeded to check out the webboards as well as a few fan sites for recent
updates. I instinctively clicked on the browser history and was
presented with a
series of URL´s including Rivenguild. One URL was listed below Rivenguild that looked vaguely familiar. I had seen it on the lyst months ago and frankly I remember it yielded little
discussion. Odd. It was an article from the Orlando Sentinel. I clicked on the URL but found it to be dead. Something seemed odd about this link as I remember it linking to an
article about Discovery Island. Not unlike the island, the room had deserted as artists and managment had taken their break.
I returned upstairs and decided to maybe head out and check out the EDGE
game that was in progress. The management team were sitting down around the cool table from New Mexico discussing one of the new books underway.
Not wanting to intrude, I mentioned that maybe a game of EDGE was in order. "Sure, why not" they commented. "Besides we can discuss the two brothers
later". The two brothers?? Sirrus and Achenar? Where they pulling my leg and horsing around or was I onto something special. I guess I would have to wait a bit.
I wandered outside and joined Rand and the crew. It was going to be a very interesting game...
