Update to Original FAQWhat did you stop the GRID a year ago?
I can't comment to much on why other than to tell you that the timing was not right. Having explored CYAN very closely, I came across information that could signifigantly
affected the outcome of some projects. A great deal more was going on at CYAN than fans could begin to imagine. I also found information and clues while in San Diego that suggested a great deal more was linked that
appeared so publicly. So why then did you start the GRID back up? Some recent changes and information that surfaced allowed me to continue my quest. My involvement and close ties with many different people associated with the D'ni world and
other worlds allowed me to see things and experience some very interesting and fantastic plans. Plans that needed to be shared.
Do I need to figure out the clues or solve the puzzles to play any of the games? No, this is not a requirement at all. Are the puzzles on the MYST3.com site related to the puzzles on GRID or the RivenGuild site? At this time I can't provide information and answer this question.
Does Presto Studios or CYAN know you are doing this? Yes, very much so. But they will not comment on this. Your clues are very cryptic. So many numbers, so many words....anagrams, puzzles, degrees and references to ancient cultures. I am more confused now than I was before.
Are we supposed to figure these clues or puzzles out quickly? No....in fact some clues are very cryptic and require more information
that will be released this fall. Others are very obvious in the sense that you can solve these using basic techniques. It will require some digging and some research. What is an AVID? Why do you capitalize this word? Is the word AVID relate to a company that does 3D? Clues around the word AVID are present on information and interviews conducted with Rand Miller. The word is capitalized because it holds a special purpose. The word does NOT
relate to a 3D company, this I can tell you. Can the puzzles and clues you provide ever be solved? Yes, in fact there are no puzzles or clues that are unsolvable. But many will require some serious research work. Why would I even bother to solve these clues....given that some are very challenging? Fan for
years have asked me for the inside look at the companies and at the games and future plans. I can't tell people much publicly or risk giving too much away. Many of these game companies act in mysterious ways and for the
really serious fan, there is a treasure trove of material and info that would astound most fans.In some special cases, my research has provided me with information that is not going to be public for many months (
years?). Clues left 2 years ago at RivenGuild have just come to light and fans now are making the connections. In fact one clue that I left hidden in a graphic never did get discovered although some fans emailed me
privately after finding the clue and asking what it meant. I keep a personal journal.....sort of like a "Lexicon" for myself. I don't create clues to torture people but to provide entertainment. Parts of this journal
are online..... Okay, so you don't believe you are torturing people.....why such difficult clues. Why the game? Recently I used an example about watching a movie and recognizing hidden stuff in the movie or even cameo appearances. This is quite common in the movie industry.
People don't leave the movie theatre upset....they leave refreshed thinking, "boy, that weird, I know that guy from somewhere". Books from authors around the globe regularly include hidden content. Computer game
companies have done this for years.I want to stress that recent events have brought to my attention how important it is that I meet with others and discuss these incredible discoveries. I am not yanking anyones
chains....the clues lie all around us. In fact the announcments at CYAN.com have significant importance. The clues at MYST3.com lead to some VERY important information. These are more than just games.... I will close
this section of the FAQ off with a note regarding previous research on discoveries and discussions about plants and the south. A great deal has gone on this past year behind the scenes ( so to speak ). This next 6
months will be pivotal. [ Home | Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four ] |
